Rotem takes the top spot at Israeli Foreign Ministry

Former ambassador to Australia Yuval Rotem has been appointed as director general of the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu made the announcement at a ceremony for outgoing director general Dore Gold .

57-yr-old Yuval Rotem served as Israeli’s ambassador to Australia between 2007 and 2013.

Rotem said: “I am thankful for the trust put in me personally.”
