Israeli President Reuven Rivlin on Tuesday criticized Yesh Atid Knesset member Idan Roll for suggesting that Israelis should refuse to cooperate should another national lockdown be declared due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“A call for citizens to defy the guidelines damages our foundations, both Jewish and democratic, under which we built our country,” wrote Rivlin on Twitter. “Especially at this time of crisis, I appeal to our leaders, both in the coalition and the opposition, to be careful with their words.”

Roll had claimed in his original tweet that the government had broken its fundamental contract with the people, that it should protect the people during the crisis, and that its decisions were instead based on political considerations.

Later on Tuesday, Roll responded to Rivlin’s post by apologizing for any misunderstanding and calling on the public to abide by the regulations.

Ignore the counter virus regulation to the Corona Virus then Israel, as well as other countries already infected like the USA, risk a pandemic holocaust.
