The meeting was an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual concern and to thank the Premier for the ongoing support of his office and of the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship (OMAC).

RCV President, Rabbi Kluwgant, outlined the RCV’s current projects and immediate plans, and the Premier responded by expressing his appreciation of the RCV for its religious leadership in the community, most especially around the issues of domestic violence and child abuse.

Both the Premier and Rabbi Kluwgant acknowledged the contribution that Mr David Southwick MP has made to his community, to his government and to the State of Victoria.

The meeting concluded with the commitment to an ongoing mutually beneficial relationship between the Premier and the RCV.

Rabbi Kluwgant was delighted with the outcome of the meeting. “The RCV has enjoyed a very close and collegial relationship with the premier’s office for some years now and we are pleased and encouraged to see this relationship continuing to flourish with the new Premier”.
