A special minyan will be held at Sydney’s the Great Synagogue preceding the start of the famed City to Surf race…after which the officiating rabbi will join the runners in the race to Bondi.

Rabbi Alan Garb

Rabbi Alan Garber has recently joined the staff at Sydney’s oldest syngagogue and will use the City to Surf as source for raising funds for JewishCare.

Second minister toRabbi Jeremy Lawrence, Rabbi Garb is organising drinks and snacks after the minyan and before the race and is inviting all Jewish competitors to attend.

He said: “You will be able to leave you running bags, tallit and tefilin at the Shule”
