Promotion for Josh
Melbourne Liberal MP Josh Frydenberg has been appointed Assistant Treasurer in the latest Federal cabinet shuffle.
Prime Minister Tony Abbott said: “Following the resignation of Senator the Hon Arthur Sinodinos AO, the Hon Josh Frydenberg MP will be appointed as Assistant Treasurer. As my Parliamentary Secretary, Mr Frydenberg has delivered around$2 billion in red tape reduction in just one year. He will be an important part of 2015 Budget preparations and will join the Expenditure Review Committee of Cabinet.”
Josh Frydenberg, the member for Kooyong, told J-Wire that he felt “very humbled” by the appointment and “looked forward to carrying out his duties in his new role”.
Lucky you, with the French cheeses, baguettes and wine, Otto! Yummy, indeed. However, what on earth do you need Josh for as well … in that scenario?!
I haven’t commented on what he has done, or not done, for the community. What I absolutely can’t stand is the automatic mode he goes into in not engaging with questions asked of him – he completely avoids giving a straight answer every time, in fact often he hardly touches on the subject matter at all. All politicians do this, but some are worse than others and he is up there with the worst. It doesn’t augur well for the future, for one so young to already be habitually in the habit of boring party-line speak. One might as well press the mute button rather than listen to him. No matter how much you might like him, Otto, for whatever reason, this is the unpalatable situation we have.
I never take seriously a politician who refuses to run two straight words together.
Not fair, Liat, OUR Josh has done so much for our/his community since in Canberrra. I can recall so many things for instance:
……and so much more that escapes me right now maybe because I am right now in French Catalunia, Perpignan/Perpinya where I can choose from at least 83 types of Bruyerre cheeses and 105 types of baguettes not to mention countless labels of wine. How I wish Josh was here too….but he’s so busy, Treasury and all…..Onya Josh !!!!!
Josh Frydenberg was destined for bigger things, and now he is on his way. He’s personable enough, however, at a young age and very early in his career of politician, he has unfortunately more than mastered that most boring of political skills which is to avoid at all costs answering a question directly, instead waffling on with Liberal party speak until one stops listening altogether.
It would be nice to be able to be more excited about his promotion.
