Politicians’ Purim visit
On the eve of Purim, NSW Shadow Health Minister Ryan Park and NSW Shadow Treasurer Walt Secord paid a visit to Our Big Kitchen operated by Rabbi Dr Dovid Slavin in Bondi.

It was Mr Park’s first visit to the charity. (Mr Park, a former school teacher, is the MP for Keira and is also shadow minister for housing and homelessness.)
Our Big Kitchen provides thousands of meals every week to other charities and to the homeless across Sydney.
Mr Park said: “Rabbi Slavin’s work changes lives through skill development, support and meaningful engagement.”
Mr Secord said: “I’ve been to Our Big Kitchen many times over the years, but each time I discover something new and wonderful about their worthwhile activities. Rabbi Dr Dovid Slavin is a tireless worker for the Jewish and non-Jewish communities.”
The trip coincided with Mount Sinai College primary school students making hamantaschen for Purim at Our Big Kitchen.
