South Melbourne police are investigating after antisemitic graffiti was sprayed in Albert Park and Middle Park earlier this month.

Investigators believe a man was in Ashworth Street about 3.30pm on Tuesday 16 June when he spray-painted the roadway.

Officers believe the man then walked to Mills Street, Middle Park and sprayed a symbol and vilifying words on the brick wall of a kindergarten.

The man then left the area.

Police have released an image of a man that they wish to speak to and who may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
