Celebrating Israel 2022 marks the 75th Anniversary of the historic vote by the UN GeneralAssembly on 29 November 1947 on resolution 181,  The Partition Plan” for the establishment of a Jewish State, paving the way for the establishment of the State of Israel in its historical land.

Founder of NCJWA Celebrating Israel event in 2005, Dalia Ayalon Sinclair, NCJWA NSW Past President, is back in Australia to produce ”Point of Return” to highlight the significant contribution that Australia had in the passing of the resolution and to acknowledge the unique friendship between Australia and Israel, and the special role that Australia played in the short history of Israel with the ongoing support of Australian governments.

Co-hosted by ZCNSW and Ha’Moadon Ha’Israel, the “Celebrating Israel 2022” event highlights include a message from President Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel, a message from Scott Farlow MLC, Chair of NSW Parliamentary Friends of Israel, as well as a panel discussion on the topic “Point of Return” with Dr Marjorie O’Neill MP, Member for Coogee; Michelle Blum, CEO of Australian Israel Chamber of Commerce, Dr Ron Weiser, honorary Life President of Zionist Federation of Australia with Dalia Ayalon Sinclair, as moderator. Renowned singer Dahlia Dior will perform Israeli songs, and there is much more.

In every nation’s history, there are days and events which forever mark a crossroad in time. On November 29, 1947, Jewish people worldwide were given the opportunity to grasp hold of the book of history in order to write down their own destiny.
