The New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies will host a Pesach dinner to be attended by 120 mayors and local government leaders from across the State.

To be held on April 1 in Randwick, the function’s guest of honour will be Local Government Minister Barbara Perry.

The NSWJBD CEO, Vic Alhadeff, told J-Wire: “We will be celebrating our lives of freedom in this great State and Nation through the prism of Jewish history…a microcosm of migrant experience and the importance of overcoming racism. We build our communities within the framework of local government …and that is where we turn to in the quest the enjoy the right to live in peace side by side with our neighbours.”

The Pesach dinner is a new venture at which personal stories relating to freedom will be told by guests from Lebanon, Vietnam, Ethiopia and by Holocaust survivors.
