“Padre” Kastel tours the police stations
Rabbi Mendel Kastel, CEO of the Jewish House, spent Christmas Day in his New South Wales police uniform visiting Randwick, Rose Bay, Bondi Beach, Waverley, Maroubra and Paddington police stations handing our Chanukah doughnuts to the on-duty staff.
Mendel, who is the Jewish Chaplain for the NSW police, is affectionately known by the police force as “our Jewish padre”.
