It has been a busy week for Our Big Kitchen’s Rebecca Jacobs….shipping much needed items to victims of the Queensland floods.

The busy kitchen manager has been preparing hundreds of items of toiletries and toys donated by the community to ease the burder being experienced by Queenslanders as they rebuild their lives following the devastating floods.

Jacobs told J-Wire: “The response from the community has been nothing short of mind-boggling. And now it’s time to get all donated items to the people who need them.”

The goods are earmarked for Queensland’s State Emergency Services who are in the best position to know where the supplies are most wanted.

Since the floods hit, Our Big Kitchen’s facilities have been used by many members of the community and their baking for Brisbane efforts were matched by the generosity of others who contributed toiletries and toys to help flood victims.
