Orah Fund passes $500,000 mark benefiting Jewish charities
Investor foresight has helped The ORAH FUND donations reach over $500,000, thanks to exceptional and philanthropic fund managers who donate their fees to charity.
Through the foresight of The ORAH Fund’s investors in NSW and Victoria and generosity of The ORAH Fund’s managers, The ORAH Fund has reached a milestone donating a total of $524,872 to Jewish charities around the world.
No donations were required from the community.
The following charities benefitted for the latest round of donations
- Beit Raphael (VIC) $6,417
- Boys Town Jerusalem $1,500
- Courage to Care (NSW) $3,500
- Friendship Circle (NSW) $5,000 – to continue sponsoring the Friends@home program JCA (NSW) $50,916
- Jewish Care (VIC) $5,000
- Jewish Children’s Aid Society (VIC) $6,417 to help kids with disabilities be enrolled and thrive at mainstream Jewish schools.
- Jewish House (NSW) $6,000 for their peer support program
- JJunction (NSW) $2,500 where the money will be used to relaunch the speed dating events.
- JNF – Dualis (Food for Employment) $7,350
- JNF – Haverim Le’Refuah $7,008 Maccabi Life (VIC) $5,000
- Magen David Adom $5,000 – in loving memory of Brenda Jankelowitz, to help feed seriously ill babies breast milk rather than formula which has shown to increase survival rates dramatically.
- Save a Child’s Heart $6,000 to fly 8 children from Rwanda to Israel for life-saving surgery in partnership with Air Rwanda.

- UIA – Tzohar $3,000
- UIA – NET@ $6,500
- UJEB (VIC) $6,417 provider of Jewish Education to all students in state and private non-Jewish day schools across Victoria

This round of donations totals $145,025.53 allocated to Jewish Charities around the world
The ORAH Fund’s next donation date is December 2019.
