Boycotters of Israel are active in many countries the latest example being Canada where the Federal Court has decreed that wines produced in Judea and Samaria cannot be labelled as products of Israel.

One hopes that those cheering this ruling will also make sure that they never utilize any other innovations, inventions or produce designed, discovered or developed by Jews living in these ancient parts of the Jewish homeland.

Meanwhile here is some of this week’s good news.

MDA SHARES ITS EXPERTISE

Magen David Adom, as Israel’s National Emergency Medical and Blood Services Organization, has accumulated considerable experience in coping with mass casualty incidents. The “First 7 Minutes” project, initiated and developed by MDA and led by Deputy Director-General- Community Dr. Eli Jaffe, aims to impart the knowledge and experience of Magen David Adom in communities around the world and provide their members with tools for dealing with emergencies.

MDA teams have been offering the seminar for over a year and a half, and have trained more than 3,000 people, in 15 countries including Canada, Australia, South America, Italy, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Greece and for the first time now in the United States.

The project is based on the fact that time saves lives. Guided by MDA teams in the United States and around the world, participants learn how to use 7 principles to save lives in a mass casualty scenario such as terror attacks. As part of the seminar, participants learn to control bleeding, which has been found to save the most lives.

The four-hour seminar is conducted by MDA’s most experienced EMTs and paramedics. The seminar is constructed such that the participants are given a lecture and practical session followed by drills simulating MCIs (Multi-Casualty Incidents).

ANOTHER ISRAELI MEDICAL INNOVATION

A new treatment developed at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv prevents scarring during surgeries for removing tumours in breast cancer patients.

A groundbreaking study at the Department of Dermatology at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center using two lasers to minimize scarring showed promising results.

Surgery necessary for the removal of tumours leaves significant scarring and can be damaging aesthetically. This often has a major psychological impact on patients. The methods traditionally used to minimize scarring consist of pressure bandages, silicone patches and limiting sun exposure. However, the new method shows results that are substantially more aesthetically pleasing than previous methods.

The new scar treatment can potentially be used for other types of surgery as well.

NEW VACCINE DEVELOPED

An Israeli company announced that it had developed a highly effective vaccine against radiation poisoning. The company said that the vaccine showed extremely-improved survival rates among animals subjected to high levels of radiation.

Use of the vaccine increased survival rates by 74 percent, the company stated, compared to only four percent in the control group.

The vaccine involves the injection of placental cells into the subjects 24 hours before radiation exposure and 72 hours after.

After the treatment, subjects showed strong improvement in the amount of platelets and white blood cells, as well as bone marrow, all of which are severely damaged by exposure to high levels of radiation.

The vaccine has already been given preliminary approval by the US Food and Drug Administration, meaning it can be used to treat victims following an emergency nuclear event.

A spokesperson stated that it can be used as a preventive treatment before exposure to radiation.

These results make a significant contribution to the protection of rescue and security forces that need to enter radiation-contaminated areas.

EXPOSING THE TRUTH

The lie of “apartheid and racist” Israel keeps recurring and is kept viral by social media as well as EU and NIF funded protest groups. Listen to a personal demolition of this canard by a Jew of Arab descent and then pass it on to any politician, journalist or rent a crowd group who you think may benefit from being exposed to the real facts.
