On the other hand
Right on cue, after we started praying for rain, the heavens opened up, and the precipitation commenced.
The trees are losing their leaves and temperatures are falling which are sure signs that winter is almost here.
Watching the devastation in Spain, horrendous flooding in the UK, wild weather in Europe and early snow storms in the USA one wonders what sort of climatic chaos will ensue in the Middle East.
Hopefully, Israel will be spared the worst, in which case we will know that a higher authority is looking after us.
FIRST SNOWFALL
Mount Hermon on the Golan has seen its first snowfall of the winter season.
Unfortunately, skiers will not yet be able to enjoy it as the area is still a closed military zone. Hopefully now that a ceasefire has come into force locals may soon return and enjoy winter activities.
RESILIENT FARMERS
Farmers in the north need to be very hardy types as they continue planting and harvesting while rockets and drones are fired in their direction.
BABY BOOM
It’s not only rockets and drones going “boom” – it’s Israel’s amazing birth rate breaking all records during a time of war.
Defying all threats the Jewish ethos for bringing new life into the world makes Israel unique. Compared to sinking birth rates in the rest of the western world Israel stands out.
