It is amazing how many times we encounter a connection with New Zealand.

Since making aliyah thirty-two years ago, there have been many occasions when the subject has cropped up.

It includes meeting Israelis who toured the country, rugby enthusiasts who know all about the All Blacks and social media addicts who have seen messages of support from indigenous Maoris for the Jewish indigenous inhabitants of Israel.

Last Shabbat was something new. We attended a Kiddush after morning prayers, during which food and liquid refreshments were plentiful. The host pulled me aside and insisted on showing me something important. He proudly showed me a bottle of vodka whose label proudly proclaimed that it was a product of the best rugby country in the world, namely New Zealand.

ANOTHER MYTH DEMOLISHED

The slanderous lie of Israel being an apartheid country has gone viral, especially among the prejudiced, the haters and the ignorant.

This personal testimony exposing the assertions should be widely circulated.
