On the other hand

Despite all the doomsday commentators Yom Ha’Atzmaut (Independence Day), celebrating 75 years of re-established Jewish sovereignty, was a resounding success.

In ideal weather, tens of thousands flocked to beaches and parks and enjoyed socialising and barbecuing with families and friends.

The air force fly-past of over 100 planes thrilled old and young alike.

Included in this display of air power were representatives from several foreign countries, including Germany. Who in their wildest dreams over 78 years ago could ever have imagined that warplanes from that nation might one day fly in tribute in the skies of the Jewish State?

We certainly live in wondrous times.

HAVE FAITH
