On the other hand

Without a doubt, one of the most evocative highlights of Sukkot (Tabernacles) is the massed blessing of the Kohanim at the Kotel.

Prior to 1967, this could not take place because the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan forbade any Israeli Jews from setting foot at this holy site. In fact, all Jews had been ethnically cleansed from the Old City of Jerusalem.

When you witness this ceremony, you realize that if Israel were ever to agree to either internationalize Jerusalem or hand its eastern part back to the terror-promoting PA and the hate inciters of the Jordanian religious authorities, this would once again mean the extinguishing of religious freedom for Jews.

While the rest of the world would not care, the vast majority of Israelis are determined that never again will they allow others to divide our Capital and its historic Jewish sites.
