There is something very emotional witnessing family groups, singles, lone soldiers and retired pensioners descending from an El Al plane all waving Israeli flags and overwhelmed with emotion to be finally fulfilling a lifelong dream.
Watching the scenes televised live from Ben Gurion airport, what stands out are the enthusiastic and welcoming songs, dances and embraces from families and officials alike
It is truly an ingathering of the exiles as our new immigrants join us in rebuilding Jewish sovereignty in the Land promised to our Patriarchs and Matriarchs at the dawn of Jewish history.
