On the other hand
Here we go again.
More political hot air and worthless promises for a few painful months followed by elections and then more excruciating bargaining.
On the other hand we should rejoice that Israelis alone among all the countries in the region have the ability to pass judgment on their politicians at regular intervals. Unlike some other nations we also have a dazzling array of parties to choose from and do not have to wait 4 years to remove those who turn out to be duds.

BARUCH HABA
In yet another one of those heartwarming episodes, Israel rescued a 98 year old Holocaust survivor from the Ukraine.
Just imagine if the Jewish State would have existed in the 1930’s.
How many Jews could have been saved from genocidal murder?
MODERN DAY PIONEERS
The Chalutzim (pioneers) of previous generations toiled in challenging conditions to establish flourishing agricultural settlements and jump start the miraculous revival of an arid and neglected land.
Now, following in their footsteps but with the advantage of modern technology, some new Olim are developing fertile areas to produce crops which will enhance health and wellbeing.
FROM AUSTRALIA WITH LOVE
One cannot but be moved and inspired by this short video as Australian, Nick Vujicic, visits Israel for the first time and is blown away by what he sees at Shalva.
A GIANT IN HIS GENERATION
You may have heard of Rav Kook but do you really know of his lasting legacy?
His bold leadership and refusal to be intimidated by critics of his outreach efforts should serve as an example for today’s spiritual leaders in Israel.
