On the other hand
The “big one” has arrived.
It is not the devastating earthquake that all the experts predict is bound to strike any time, although northern Israel has experienced several minor tremors recently.
It is not the political tsunami that every pundit forecast would follow Netanyahu’s departure from the political scene. That has been put on hold because the Leader of the Opposition is determined to stay put and fight his legal woes to the bitter end.
It is not Omicron which according to some is reaching its peak and then will disappear. This optimistic scenario is contradicted by other experts so take your pick.
The real big one which struck Israel Wednesday night is a massive snowstorm.
Who needs an earthquake, omicron or political dirty deals when a winter storm can paralyze the country and cause mayhem and chaos just as well? Roads closed, shops shuttered, trees felled, public transport paralyzed and schools cancelled (yeh).
Bring on the hazy, lazy, sizzling days of summer.
THE KOTEL FREEZES
It may be freezing and snowing but still a handful of hardy souls will be praying at the Western Wall.
Perhaps we can designate them as the “frozen chosen.”
ANOTHER MYTH SHATTERED
Here is yet another example of how reality on the ground destroys the myths and lies which target Israel on a daily basis.
It’s a pity that the mainstream media still keeps the truth hidden.
FAREWELL AND WELCOME
It is not every day that someone making aliyah gets special attention on their flight to the Promised Land.
On this occasion, the person so honoured is not only someone who was involved with NASA and the American space programme but who with his wife had been regular customers on Delta airlines for over twenty years.
What a wonderful gesture by the crew of this flight.
