NZ Christian group raises funds to Israeli fire victims

New Israeli Ambassador to New Zealand Dr Itzhak Gerberg and his Deputy head of Mission Avital Mimran Rosenberg have visited the Hawkes Bay area.

After the ambassador visited rural businesses marketing Israeli agriculture products Ambassador Dr Gerberg attended an event hosted Pastor Nigel Woodley who announced that the Flaxmere Christian Fellowship Church is donating $5000.00 to a fund to help those who suffered loses in the recent fires that covered much of northern Israel and also areas near Jerusalem.

He invited those present and the public to add to that figure with private donations. No dought he will receive donations to add to his $5000. The funds will be spent in the Haifa area.

Accompany his 19-yr-old son Tomer who is on a visit from Israel, the ambassador a distributor of Israeli drip-irrigation manufacturer Netafim in the city of Hastings.

Ambassador Dr Gerber took up his appointment three months ago.
