Number of Israeli Coronavirus deaths grows to 8

Three Israelis died of Coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday, as the number of patients in the country grew to 2,666.

The Wolfson Medical Centre announced that a 91-year-old woman passed away.

“The staff of the department fought for her life by all means for long days and nights, with great dedication, “the hospital said.

Later on, the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem announced the passing of an 89-year-old Corona patient who was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago.

The patient had other background illnesses, the hospital noted.

The third patient, an elderly man, died at Ma’ayanei Hayeshua hospital.

The Ministry of Health on Thursday afternoon updated that the number of Corona patients in Israel was 2,666, with 39 in serious condition, 68 in moderate condition, and 68 who have recovered.

Israel is nearing a complete lockdown. The security forces are gearing up and the government is working on the logistic and legal parameters for such an eventuality.

Editor’s note: At time of publishing of our daily email, the number of deaths has risen to 10 and the confirmed cases is over 3,000.
