Jodi McKay has been elected Leader of the Opposition in the NSW parliament.

It is the first time that two women hold the leadership as Premier and Leader of the Opposition.

Jodi McKay is the Labor member for Strathfield and is the Shadow Minister for Transport, and Shadow Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight

NSW Jewish Board of Deputies President Lesli Berger commented: “We congratulate Ms Mackay on her election as Opposition Leader and look forward to working with her. The Jewish community has enjoyed a long and productive relationship with NSW Labor and looks forward to this continuing.”
