NSWJBD appoints a new CEO
Michele Goldman has been appointed CEO of The New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies.
She is currently Vice President of JewishCare and has been the CEO of Asthma Australia for seven years. She has held executive roles with the School for Social Entrepreneurs, Mission Australia and Nestlé (in Australia and Israel).
She said: “I am honoured to be able to serve the NSW Jewish community in this important role. I care deeply about the Jewish community and the organisation. Whilst this is undoubtedly a difficult period, it is also a period of great opportunity for the NSWJBD and I am looking forward to starting in the role.”
David Ossip is the president of NSWJBD. He stated: “Michele is an individual of high integrity and great capability with a passionate commitment to our community. She has an impressive track record of achievement in the not-for-profit sector.”
“With her strong advocacy and public affairs skills and experience, Michele is ideally positioned to guide the NSWJBD team and to safeguard and advance the interests of the NSW Jewish community. At a time of great challenge for our community, we know that Michele will provide strong and principled leadership.”
Michele Goldman will join the NSWBD as its CEO in June.
