He highlighted the fact that Israel has previously only spoken with Western countries but now more and more Arab countries are speaking directly with Israel.

Lance Rosenberg, President UIA reported on the UIA’s year in review and how proud he is of the generosity of the Sydney community with over $16,500,000 raised this year. A video was screened about our Youth Futures program, one of the projects UIA is proud to be associated with. Trustees are assigned to children with a range of social issues and it is their role to work with the family and school to assist theses children and give them reasons to dream and realise their potential.

The Janet Simons Award and Max Freilich Award were presented on the night to individuals who have shown extraordinary commitment to the UIA.  Isabel Shur was the recipient of the Janet Simons award and Samuel Steif JP was the recipient of the Max Freilich award. These prestigious awards are handed out very rarely and so it is an extreme honour to be a recipient.
