On Sunday, 150 people headed to Sydney’s Rushcutters Bay Park for the Maccabi NSW Colour Run.

Organised by Maccabi Life and the Maccabiah Junior Track and Field Team, the event attracted many families – including their furry friends. Participants also had the honour of witnessing the start of the Maccabiah torch relay.

Over $1,500 was raised, which will support the biggest Australian junior team to ever take part at the Maccabiah games, with 13 athletes from across NSW and Victoria.

“They are excited to be on the team and training hard across their many distances and field events to achieve their Maccabiah sporting goals,” says Team Manager, Bronwyn Elbourne.

“Next weekend, we come together for the first time in Melbourne for a joint training camp, before meeting again at the airport for our team flight in less than 90 days. The excitement is building for all of us now and to have the torch relay start here is fantastic!”

Maccabi NSW – together with JCA – is putting together a team for the 2022 City2Surf on Sunday 14th August. Register here –https://bit.ly/3LCcSry
