Call on NSW Jewish community to aid bushfire victims

The New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies has set up a crowdfunding campaign to provide those whose lives have been impacted by the catastrophic bushfires raging through parts of NSW.

The Rural Fire Service has declared a catastrophic rating for Sydney and the Hunter region for Tuesday.

The campaign will run from today until December 6.

Funds raised will be distributed on advice from the NSW Premier’s Office. 

NSW Jewish Board of Deputies President Lesli Berger commented: “We urge members of the community to respond urgently and generously to support those impacted by these bushfires.

“NSW is unfortunately prone to  these natural disasters, and the NSW Jewish community is keen to do whatever it can in its modest way to assist those in need.”
