Jewish GIs of WWII tells the profound and unique story of the 550,000 Jewish men and women who served in World War II.
They were held as POWs and awarded honours for merit and valour. Thousands were wounded and 11,000 were killed in action.
There were Jews from the Soviet Union Poland and Britain and Palestine who fought and the total loss of life was 250,000 altogether from these Regions .
Over 150 Russian Jews received the Highest Awards for Valour and in Australia Paul Cohen (Cullin) was amongst many decorated heroes .
And there were the Partisans in the Forests and Revolts in the Ghettos and Genocide Centres .
