A group advocating “justice and peace in Palestine” is planning yet another protest outside the Max Brenner chocolate shop in Newtown…and plan to sing pro-Palestinian parodies of popular Christmas carols. This will not be the first time the well-known chocolatier’s Newtown shop has been targeted by demonstrators. It was subjected to demonstrations advocating the use of boycotts, sactions and divdestment against Israel.

The group planning the Christmas carols next week has made no mention of BDS but is asking its supporters to sing out loud “against Israel apartheid”.

Max Brenner is an Israeli-born entrepreneur with chocolate shops around the world. He lives in New York.

    Dear Rita

funny you should bring up the Alon posting to which I also replied atthe time.
I, then, realised that this “Alon” is a BDS creation. Judging by the choice of words, you’d be hard pressed to find a true Israeli using a ceratain choice of English words a bit too precious, not to mention the extended qualification that “all Israelis “would concur with such idiotic rants. Also, knowing the aggressiveness of Israeli exchanges, any real Israeli would have replied to the kind of fairly acidic criticism I dished out to this imaginary Alon.
Your comments, however, are,, as always, pertinent and inspiring.

      Dear Otto,
I did read your reply in that thread and thanked you for the undeserved compliment you paid me 🙂

“…any real Israeli would have replied to the kind of fairly acidic criticism I dished out to this imaginary Alon…

This “Alon” had probably taken dictation from one of the “wobbily warblers”, and once they saw your forcefull reply, they took a wobbily flight 😉

I agree with Rita; the “Wobbly Wablers” offended my aesthetic senses as well. The pack of croaking crocks were off key, pathetic in numbers, more revolting than revolutionary and as offensive to the spirit of fair go as they were to the sensitivities of Christians. In the foreground, one of the female persons (I won’t call her a lady), was Vivienne Porzsolt of Jews Against the Occupation.

What a sad pathetic bunch of grossly misinformed individuals these carol singers are. At least the aren’t throwing rocks, burning buildings and assaulting people and worse the last time Jews were targeted because they were running a Jewish business.

“…At least the aren’t throwing rocks, burning buildings and assaulting people and worse…

Not yet (at least not in Australia), but give them time and some muscle…

    • ben says:

hello Phillip. Why don’t you inform the “misinformed”. Every time there was an open invitation for a debate by the BDS movement, Zionist aopoligists backed away.

The BDS support has been rescinded by the NSW Greens. What is wrong with this?
My business is no longer subject to a insignificant boycott in Australia. This is fine by myself and other Israeli businesses in Australia. The rest of the position is similar to most social democratic western parties. Move along please. (my bolds)

    2. This mob says that their protests are “non-violent”??? Well, if their performance here in Sydney on the 29. November is anything to go by, a huge violation was done to my aesthetic senses:

Her is a little taste of this ” Wobbily Warbling “:
