New Zealand Prime Minister’s plans to visit Holocaust memorial

The New Zealand Prime Minister John Key is planning to visit the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe on his current overseas trip….”for Mum”.

Key’s mother’s family fled from Vienna to New Zealand when she was a schoolgirl and Fairfax news has quoted Key as saying “She never talked to me about it, never talked about family, I can’t really tell you who went and who didn’t, other than that she lost people.”

Key, who is not a practising, Jew, had been visitng Europe for the Royal Jubilee and other meetings.
