New Zealand film selected for Israeli Film Festival

Auckland film student Walter Lawry’s film “Blind Mice” has been selected as an entrant in next week’s Tel Aviv Student Film Festival.

The event is staged by CILECT, the International Association of Film and Television Schools launched in Cannes in 1955.

The film tells the story of a young drug addict whose life becomed complicated by an unwanted pregnancy.

This is the second time Lawry has has had a film selected in an international festival.

He told media: “When I heard about the inclusion, it was mind-blowing.”
