New strata for Beth Din
The Rabbinical Council of Victoria (RCV) Executive Committee has established a Melbourne Beth Din (MBD) Sub Committee.

This Committee will be chaired by Rabbi Meir Shlomo Kluwgant Immediate Past President RCV.
The new structure will oversee the nomination of Dayanim, ratification of Board Members, and will liaise between the Dayanim, RCV members, Directors of Melbourne Beth Din Nominees Ltd and the COSV.
Rabbi Kluwgant said that the RCV constitution has a provision for the establishment of this Committee to ensure probity, transparency and accountability to the RCV members and to the community, through the COSV.
Rabbi Mordechai Gutnick, President RCV, said that he was pleased that Rabbi Kluwgant accepted the position of Chair. “Rabbi Kluwgant was largely responsible for the restructure of the current Beth Din and has served well as the RCV’s ex-officio director on the Board of Melbourne Beth Din Nominees Ltd since its inception. All the members of the Committee have every confidence in Rabbi Kluwgant’s stewardship of this newly established Committee” said Rabbi Gutnick.
