New president at St Kilda Shule
Melbourne’s St Kilda Shule has been the spiritual home to its new President Gerry Bullon since 1986 when he moved to Melbourne from Sydney.
Gerry Bullon was elected unopposed at the recent Annual General Meeting.
He has been a chorister for 20 years; a Board member for 10 years; began publishing the Under the Dome magazine in 2016; and runs the popular annual Whisky and Herring nights.
Now a non-executive company director, Gerry Bullon has a diverse corporate history in the Jewish community. He was Group General Manager of The Australian Jewish News from 1987 to 1989 following the merger of the Sydney and Melbourne papers; and Masada Hospital’s CEO for six years, opening the Obstetric Unit in 1999.
The Shule’s first-ever female Vice-President Janice Iloni Furstenberg was re-elected unopposed.
