Following renovations to the Israel embassy in Canberra, local Chabad Rabbi Dan Avital was at the ready to affix a mezzuzah to the ambassador’s door.

Rabbi Avital told J-Wire: “The mezzuzah is a symbol of the Jewish People’s eternal connection to G-d and through that connection comes spiritual support and protection.”

He was aided by Ambassador Yuval Rotem.
