Ryan Gill has been appointed as Moriah College’s Head of High School.

Educational leader Ryan brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role at the College. His dynamic leadership has inspired and motivated teams to champion learning and improve educational outcomes for students.

After starting his teaching career in the UK, Ryan joined Sydney’s Masada College in 2011 as a Geography and Society and Culture teacher. Over the past 14 years, he has taken on various leadership roles, including Head of Senior School and, most recently, deputy Principal ELC-12.

Recognized for his achievements with prestigious awards such as the ACEL Keith Tronc Award for Outstanding Teacher Leadership and Most Influential Educator 2023 by The Educator Australia, Ryan’s honesty, integrity, warmth, and care have earned him respect from faculty, parents, and students.

With experience as an Educational Consultant developing Cultures of Thinking pedagogy internationally and as a coach with Harvard’s Project Zero at the Graduate School of Education, Ryan brings a unique perspective to education.

Moriah College Principal Mira Hasofer expressed confidence in Ryan’s appointment after a thorough search process by an external recruitment firm. She said: “He was selected as the exemplary choice to lead our High School, demonstrating all the criteria that was sought in a candidate. We are confident that his leadership will inspire and enhance our school community. ”

Ryan’s wide-ranging experience within a Jewish day school has equipped him with teaching, learning, and pastoral skills that align perfectly with Moriah College’s ethos. His dedication to fostering a nurturing environment fits well with the college’s values.

Ryan Gill will take up his appointment commencing Term 1, 2025.
