During a mock election in which they learned the basic process of Israel’s elections, Netzer’s Melbourne junior campers in Grade 5 elected Yesh Atid party head Yair Lapid as Prime Minister of Israel.

Before ticking their preferred candidate for the election, campers were split into groups to research the party heads and platforms of Likud, Labor and Yesh Atid; then each group gave a speech in support of the candidate and party in which they were chosen to research.

Netzer’s junior camp was held in early January. Israel’s elections are scheduled for today.
