Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has appointed Yuval Rotem as Acting Director General of the Foreign Ministry in place of Dore Gold.

Rotem was the previous Israel’s ambassador to Australia preceding the current ambassador Shmuel Ben-Shmuel,

Yuval Rotem has served in the Foreign Ministry for 30 years and currently serves as head of public diplomacy. His previously positions included Consul General in Los Angeles and head of the Foreign Minister’s staff.
