A group of black-clothed neo-Nazis demonstrated outside the office of Liberal Senator James Paterson’s office in South Melbourne yesterday.

All had their faces covered except the speaker, who called Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Leader of the Opposition Peter Dutton “traitors”.

The offices were unoccupied.

Shadow Minister for Home Affairs spokesman Senator Paterson said: “I am not remotely intimidated by cosplaying losers who hide their faces behind masks. I certainly won’t be lectured on patriotism from people who worship a failed foreign regime. These protestors only make me more determined to protect Australians from extremists of all stripes.”

Chairman of the Anti-Defamation Commission, Dvir Abramovich, told ABC: “They were calling for a white Australia for racial purity and for the dismantling of our political system. This wasn’t a message, this wasn’t a protest. This was a manifesto of hate.

We need the government to designate these hate groups as prohibited organisations. And it isn’t about political censorship, it’s about national security.”
