The NSW Association of Jewish Ex-servicemen and women has announced its office-bearers and board members for 2014.najex

I would like to advise that following its Annual General Meeting held in November, the new board of NAJEX is:

President                                                           Charles Aronson

Vice President                                                 Norman Isenberg RFD

Treasurer                                                           Henry Kleinman

Honorary Secretary                                      Roger Selby

Other Board members are Peter Allen, Monica Kleinman, Daniel Mendoza-Jones, and Norm Symon RFD ED.

NAJEX plays a vital role in ensuring that the proud military history of the Australian Jewish community is commemorated and recorded, so that future generations of Jews and non-Jews will be aware of this important aspect of the Jewish contribution to our country.

Currently one of our important projects is the forthcoming Centenary of ANZAC Commemoration and its Jewish component. This program includes the publication of a new book on the Jewish contribution to Australia’s military campaigns from the Sudan to Afghanistan, the holding of commemorative services in every capital city in April 2015 and special military exhibitions at the Jewish museums.

We see this as a splendid opportunity to promote the enormous contribution that Jews have made to Australia and we very much need and appreciate your support in this endeavour
