Mount Scopus shines in the VCE exams
2018 has been another successful year for Year 12 Melbourne’s Mount Scopus students in their VCE exams.
12% of the students gained an ATAR of 98 or above. 42% exceeded an ATAR of 90 and 5 ‘perfect’ study scores.
Principal, Rabbi James Kennard said, “We congratulate our students on this year’s very good results. With a number of excellent scores, and many students who exceeded expectations, we pay tribute to all our students and their teachers.
Special congratulations go to Jemma Miller and Jack Bassat who each achieved an outstanding ATAR of 99.85, and are jointly named ‘Dux of the College’.
Also achieving exceptionally high results were Ella Hermann (99.15), Beatrix (Bunny) Rose (99.15) Brodie Katz (99), Romy Miller (98.95), Gidon Sneider (98.9), [name withheld at student’s request] (98.85), Bradley Antman (98.7), Timnah Olcha (98.6), Monique Lustig (98.35) and Stacey Mendel (98.3).

Amongst of the top students are many who have contributed greatly to school life – in the Jewish life, Performing Arts, Community and Service and Sports programs – and now they have shown their academic excellence as well”.
