Principal Rabbi Yehoshua Shmukler said: “The Class of 2023 stood out as a character-filled and cohesive group. They were deeply connected to each other in a beautiful way.

They came of age into their peak teenage years and adolescence through the core of separation during Covid, which was difficult enough for society, let alone for our young students, and they managed to leverage those challenges and turn them around. The opportunity to travel to Israel on IST in Year 11, at a slightly more mature age and stage in their schooling, over Pesach and Yom Ha’atzmaut, really brought them together for the rest of their schooling as a cohesive whole.

We have seen that connection manifest in their character throughout their HSC year. They contributed to the College life in a fun, engaging manner and were role models for the students in younger years, with their Jewish pride and values. They have filled us with ‘never a dull moment’ and at the same time, a lot of smiles, joy and naches.”

We invite you to view the outstanding results of the Class of 2023 in our comprehensive achievements book and also our extraordinary interactive OnShow e-book of Major Works.

Moriah is once again ranked one of the top co-educational, non-selective independent schools in NSW and we could not be prouder of this cohort.

We wish all the students continued hatzlacha wherever they go, as they continue being the Moriah menschen they are and continue to have a positive impact on the world. “
