Principal Mira Hasofer expressed pride in the graduates, stating, “Your achievements reflect your determination and Moriah College’s place as an outstanding Jewish, Independent Day School. We are immensely proud of each of you.”

The school reported that 82% of all results across subjects were within Bands 5 and 6, the highest categories for academic performance in the HSC. In 18 courses, 100% of students achieved results in these top bands, far surpassing state averages. Over half of the graduating cohort achieved ATARs above 90, placing them in the top 10% of the state, with 9% of students scoring above 98 and 4% above 99. Eleven students were named on the prestigious HSC Top All-Rounders list, including outstanding performers like Lily Ilsar, Elijah Jones, and Ava Warhaftig.

Dual Dux awards went to Saul Pinshaw and Joshua Waine, who both achieved an ATAR of 99.5, excelling in subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, and Legal Studies.

The creative achievements of the Class of 2024 also stand out. Students received nominations for prestigious NESA showcases, with OnSTAGE (Drama), ENCORE (Music), and ARTEXPRESS (Visual Arts) highlighting the school’s support for artistic excellence. Tamlyn Mayer and her drama group were recognized for their performance in “Cosmos,” while musicians like Elijah Jones and Joel Ilsar were nominated for ENCORE. Several visual arts students’ works will be displayed in ARTEXPRESS galleries. The school’s success in dance was exemplified by students like Tamlyn Mayer and Micah Diamond, whose exceptional performances earned nominations for the prestigious Callback Dance Showcase.

In sports, students like Cody Davis and Tali Baltineshter excelled at both state and national levels. Cody received the Joe Bos Memorial Prize for Sporting Excellence, and Moriah teams earned accolades in rugby, netball, and athletics.

With over 100 early university offers, Moriah graduates secured placements in competitive programs across medicine, engineering, law, and the arts. Elijah Jones received the Australian National University All-Rounder Scholarship, reflecting his excellence across academics, music, and leadership.

As Moriah’s Class of 2024 prepares to take the next steps in their journeys, Principal Hasofer encouraged them to “pursue your dreams with courage, contribute meaningfully to the world, and hold your heads high as proud graduates of Moriah College.”
