Moriah College ranked top performing Co-Ed independent school in NSW

Sydney Morning Herald has ranked Moriah College top performing Co-educational Independent School in NSW and 15th NSW school overall.

Moriah was third in the State for English Advanced, English Extension 1 and English Extension 2, and ninth in the State for English Standard.

68% of students achieved a Band 6 result in at least one subject. 43% of the examinations completed by our students were scored with a Band 6 result.

85% of the examinations completed by our students were scored with a Band 5 or 6 result.

Principal John Hamey said: “I am proud of the students for listening to their teachers, who encouraged them to think independently and learn collaboratively; they came to appreciate the importance of John Donne’s words: ‘no man (or woman) is an island’, and realised the power of collective energy and ambition. The students from the Class of 2017 have produced outstanding results, testimony to their hard work, partnership with their teachers, and collaborative effort.”

The following Moriah students achieved >90 [Band 6] in at least 10 units of study.
