Montefiore Randwick Celebrates 10 Years
Sydney’s Montefiore Randwick has celebrated its 10 year anniversary.
“After 10 years of operating it is remarkable that our facility is still regarded as one of the finest in Australia,” said David Freeman, president of the aged care Montefiore Home. “Having received a number of awards for excellence and innovation in design, including a prestigious award from the Property Council of Australia, it continues to be regularly visited by various Australian and International aged care providers seeking insight into our design philosophy as well as the care and services we provide,” added David.
Hundreds of supporters including Board Members, Montefiore’s Ambassadors, Scientia Professor Henry Brodaty and Mr David Gonski, residents, staff, volunteers and community members, enjoyed an evening of entertainment, delicious food and of course birthday cake.
CEO, Robert Orie said, “This is a significant milestone for the Home. On 8 November 2006, 5 residents were accommodated at our Randwick Campus and today we are at full capacity catering for 276 residents. Montefiore also recognises the importance of planning to meet the future needs of the community. In early 2017 we are hoping to commence construction on a dementia specific vertical village followed closely by the first of our Seniors’ Living Apartment buildings at Randwick.”
