Sydney’s Shalom’s Professional Women’s Forum (PWF) launched their 2017 workshop series with an insightful workshop for women in their 20s and 30s called “Money & Me”.

Over 30 women attended the event at the new Double Bay Library board room, where they mingled, enjoyed a light dinner and participated in a Q+A session with facilitator Sheri Mendel. “The aim of the workshop was to provide relevant financial guidance for young women,” said Rebecca Solomons, Shalom Program Manager, “topics related to tax, insurance, superannuation, and the always gruelling housing market”. There was no shortage of questions from these young women, who asked about everything from investment properties to the need for private health care for young women. The evening was filled with an abundance of useful financial knowledge, delicious food, practical tips and many questions.

“Thank you and the team for a wonderfully organised event last night. It was informational, educational and practical.” Wrote one happy participant at the end of the evening.

PWF will be holding more practical workshops this year focussing on professional skills, and this is an opportunity to meet new people, create a strong network and gain professional skills.
