The Premier of New South Wales Mike Baird has taken time out of what is essentially a trade mission to Israel to visit a Palestinian refugee camp.

The first Premier of Sydney’s host state to visit Israel made the journey to the UNRWA-run Aida refugee camp 2 kms north of Bethlehem. He saw for himself the security wall built by the Israelis to counter the attacks of terrorism including suicide bombers made against Israel.

He is expected to complete this week discussing developments in medical cannabis and financial and technical innovations including work done specifically on cybersecurity.

    He’s made his point of view clear. He can’t be accused of being anti-Israel given that he is on a trade mission. To be commended.
