Mendy in action

The competition is open to Jewish children under the age of Bar/Mat Mitzvah and is run by the Brooklyn-based Tzivos Hashem/Jewish Children International. The organisation spearheads “the trend to review Jewish identity in children”.

Mendel will travel to New York with his older brother Zevi and the family is hoping to watch the final voting on a computer feed.

His father, Rabbi Dovid Slavin, told J-Wire: “The final results will be known on January 16. The organisers have paid for two tickets.”

Mendel has amazed everyone who has seen the video of his submitted acrobatic performance. Should he win the first prize of $3600, he will follow the rules and donate it to a non-profit Jewish organisation….Our Big Kitchen run by his father. He will also receive $1800 to keep for himself.

Here is what the organisers had to say about Mendel Slavin…The last finalist in this category is Mendel Slavin aged 12 from Sydney, Australia. Mendel’s performance is like no other we received during this competition, watch and enjoy, but don’t try this at home! Click here.
