Member of the Jewish community makes top 100 in The Algemeiner

President of The Executive Council of Australian Jewry Robert Goot has been named by publication The Algemeiner as one of the top 100 people who influenced Jewish life in 2014.

robert-goot-Tony Abbott is the only other Australian to have made the list although Australian-born but now US citizen Rupert Murdoch is named.

Sydney-based Robert Goot currently holds the following positions:

President ECAJ
Vice President and member of Executive Committee WJC
Director and member of the Leadership Council of the Claims Conference
Chairman of Trustees and Life Patron Moriah College
Hon Life Member of NSWJBD.

The Algemeiner says its list recognises those that have positively influenced Jewish life, and includes the “usual suspects,” well-known leaders and officials of governments, organizations and institutions.
