Twelve leading Jewish organisations will come together on Monday to support the annual Walk Against Family Violence and send a clear message that the Victorian Jewish community stands united in saying ‘No’ to family violence.

Jewish Care Victoria, the Jewish Community Council of Victoria, the Rabbinical Council of Victoria, the National Council of Jewish Women of Australia (Victoria), Tzedek, Unchain My Heart, Maccabi Victoria, Pathways Melbourne, Progressive Judaism Victoria, Impact, the Australasian Union of Jewish Students and the Australian Jewish News will participate.

Now in its 11th year, the Walk Against Family Violence is held in support of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and aims to raise awareness of the impact of family violence on the community, and remember those who have lost their lives.

Speeches will commence from 12:00pm followed by the Walk from Federation Square into the CBD. The theme colour for the Walk is orange and all ages, abilities, genders and fitness levels are welcome.

All members of the Victorian Jewish community are encouraged to join the Walk Against Family Violence. Look for our joint banner at Federation Square from 12:00pm.
