Meet the London Klezmer Quartet
A Klezmer Workshop by London Klezmer Quartet is to be held in Melbourne next month.
Anyone interested is invited to the hands-on workshop about the style and energy behind klezmer, the celebratory and soulful music of Jewish eastern Europe, with the London Klezmer Quartet, a group of Europe’s top performers. They will teach tunes, traditional ornamentation, accompaniment, phrasing, articulation, rhythm and ‘groove’.
For those new to klezmer, there will be background and cultural context. The workshop is divided into beginners/intermediates to klezmer, and advanced klezmorim.
